Green Prescribing Development Officer
Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust are recruiting for a Green Prescribing Development Worker.
1 Full time (37.5 hours) or 2 part time posts (18.75 hours)
Would you like to play a key part in achieving positive change for people’s health and nature’s recovery in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw?
We are seeking to fill 1 or 2 new posts to lead development work towards the expansion of Green Prescribing to improve people’s mental wellbeing through participation in nature based activities.
The exciting new government-led Green Social Prescribing programme will test and develop the ways in which connecting people with nature can improve mental wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, and reduce demand on the health and social care system.
South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw is one of 7 pilot areas supported through this programme. Working on behalf of a broad partnership of health sector, statutory and voluntary organisations and employed by Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust (SRWT) you will lead development work, to include scoping, mapping and consultation activities in order to better understand access to green space and nature based activities in different communities and to support project partners in co-design of pathways and projects to increase provision and uptake of green prescribing.
We are looking for candidates with experience of nature based wellbeing activities and community consultation and co-design.
